Tyson's Brave Battalion
Things don't go wrong and break your heart so you can become bitter and give up. They happen to break you down and build you up so you can be all that you were intended to be.” ~Samuel Johnson

Now we Wait

Done with surgery!  His lip looks awesome, the ENT doc said it should heal up just fine without any scarring and stuff.  I am so happy with how all of that turned out.  He was super mad when he got out, his lip hurt and he was just generally agitated which is common.
My brother in law was in town on business so he brought by some prizes and goodies and bought me lunch.  Thank You!  Phineas and Ferb stickers and a nerf gun, how could life get any better?
As soon as he had two bowls of lucky charms down he was a happy camper...and can I just say we have the best nurse in the whole wide world?  She ordered for his blood draw during surgery, and had them put in a new IV cause the one in his foot was getting a littly iffy.  She has been going to bat for him since she was assigned to us yesterday morning and we are so thankful for her.  So other than the neupogen shot no pokies so far today!!  We have been so lucky to have such good care both here and at PMC, we are really thankful they were prompt in getting us down here to get the infectious port out quick and get him stabilized.  Just really really thankful for good medical people who care.
She also brought in the ingredients for gak and let him make his own.
He has been happily playing with it ever since!!  It is the perfect stuck in bed hospital toy!
And now we wait.  We need to wait for those test results to come back, wait for clear blood cultures, and then he gets a picc line put in so we can continue his meds at home.  We are hoping the picc line can go in like Sunday or Monday maybe if everything else continues to improve.  It will take several weeks for his lung fungus to clear.  We'll see how it goes.  Thank You!!  We are doing so good right now!  What a rollercoaster
I just realized as I was proof reading this that over the past few days someone different has popped in with a gift right after every pokie he has had!  I only brought two 'pokie prizes' with me in the hospital bag so i was thinking I would have to go down to the gift shop and get some more, but what a miracle, the Lord really does watch out for us through other people sometimes so thank you for the pokie prizes!
